The Little Tibet

We meet you at the Delhi airport, having a cup of coffee while preparing for the upcoming journey to Manali.
This is the city where we have the start and finish point of our Indian Himalayas motorbike journey.
The journey to Manali will take about 10-12 hours.
A cozy hotel will be waiting in Manali for us to rest and accumulate energy before our start tomorrow.

Here goes the adventure! While having delicious breakfast you get a short brief on the rules of driving a motorcycle in Asia and share useful safety tips.
So, let’s go! Today we will hit 135 km of the asphalt road and get the first experience of climbing a mountain pass on our journey — Rohtang (4500 m). Then we will slowly go down the dizzying serpentine road to the hospitable Jispa.
Here we will have a well-deserved rest in a cozy guest house.

Today our path runs through the beautiful Zanskar Valley to its ancient capital — the small town of Padum.
Until recently, the only possible way to get here was by foot. A dirt road was built here just a few years ago. Today we will safely reach our destination and see the life and ancient customs of the local population in almost their original form.
Also today we have to conquer the second pass — Shinku La (5100 m).
In the evening we share our impressions of what we experienced and go to the hotel to rest and relax.

Today will pass at a leisurely pace.
Let’s take a ride around the area and admire the local views. Then we will go to the waterfall and swim in the crystal-clear icy water.
We will also visit ancient monasteries and walk around Padum to boost up acclimatization and adapt faster to the altitude.
We are accumulating energy and preparing for tomorrow’s journey.

India is a multinational country where different cultures and religions coexist closely .
While before this day we were surrounded by an Indian and Tibetan aura, soon the road will lead us to Muslim Kargil — the second largest city in Ladakh.
The city and its surroundings seem to be imbued by the spirit of adventure. We will be passing by apricot and apple orchards, picturesque lakes and stunning mountain landscapes, and a war memorial. Absolute harmony of times!
The night will be at the hotel.

Today the endless serpentines to the capital of Ladakh — the city of Leh are waiting for us.
All day long we will be riding by the roads surrounded by majestic mountains, valleys and rivers — a great chance to improve your driving skills and enjoy the trip to the fullest!

In Leh city a comfortable hotel is ready for us.

We are getting permission to visit the Umling La pass.
Let’s relax and accumulate energy for the day coming.
You can take a walk around the city and its surroundings to fully experience the local energy.

Today begins the journey to the destination of our journey — the Umling La pass.
By evening we will find ourselves in the village of Hanle, which houses the highest observatory in the world. Overnight at the campsite.

The long-awaited day has come! Sounds like a real challenge and adventure. Overcoming mountain passes on a motorcycle at such altitudes is a truly impressive achievement. Remember to be safe and careful at these heights. We have acclimatized well and are ready to storm the highest pass — Umling La! But to get to it we have to overcome another pass above 5000m — Futu La. This day is fantastic in every way! Few people have ever been to such heights, and even more so on a motorcycle! In general, it will be something to be proud of and something to tell your friends.

Along the already familiar road we return to the capital of Ladakh — Leh. After two nights of camping and riding along the highest roads in the world, it’s so nice to return to civilization and have dinner in a good restaurant.

The road is calling us again!
We will see the main heart of the Himalayan kingdoms of Zanskar and Ladakh — the high-altitude mystical lake Tso Moriri.
Staying in a place remote from civilization will add additional authenticity and unforgettable moments to our trip.

We will spend the night in a comfortable campsite and continue our journey tomorrow.

Early in the morning we hit the road.
The day ahead is not the easiest one. One more challenge and rise above yourself! After all, adventure is not about a comfortable walk along well-groomed streets. It’s about facing the unknown.
Moments from such trips remain in the memory for a lifetime.
For the overnight rest we are going to the cozy guest house of Jispa.

Our motorcycle tour has come to its end and it’s time to sum up.
After numerous days of adventures we return to a cozy hotel and creature comforts.
After a little rest, we will visit the Roerich House-Museum in Naggar. Here, under the protection of the mountains, the great Russian figure was inspired by the local landscapes and the unique feeling of peace.
Let’s do the same and capture in our memory the best moments of our adventures!

Time to shop for souvenirs, stroll through the city’s attractions, or relax in the SPA.

Today, as on the first day of the tour, a minibus takes us over the already familiar route but in reverse order — from Manali to Delhi.
We will organize your transfer to the airport.
We separate but do not say goodbye forever!
